Then at that time all the great masters they said “you should go and get the teaching from her” and then he said “where can I find her?”. Then they said “you should go to the great fearful cemetery”, they gave the wrong way, basically a special vicinity or forest that is the name, not far from Bodhgaya. When Khuyngpo Naljor said “how can I find this Dakini? how can I find this Khandroma?” All these great masters told him “if you have a pure mind you will find her everywhere, if you do not have a pure mind you will not find her anywhere”.
That why it is very important, for all of us, not to find the perfect Guru but rather practice the Dharma first. Practice the Dharma whatever you can, study, and maintain that. Then the Guru, the pure mind, the devotion will come after, slowly. First you need to find the Dharma instructor who can teach you, guide you, help you, you practice it. But then eventually as your spirituality and Dharma understanding grows then the devotion and the pure view, the Guru will come naturally by itself. But being forceful with yourself is not beneficial.
Because even the Buddha had many cousins and relatives and they did not get enlightenment right away. So just because you are close doesn’t mean that you can reach high enlightenment other than practicing appropriately.
